National Coming Out Day!

THANK YOU for being here! Out of The Blue is an award-winning, "mostly" one-man show about hope and resilience.

One of the main story threads in the show deals with a young man's quest for love, as he learns to love and accept himself as a gay boy, growing up in a conservative Mexican/Jewish community.  His family moves to the U.S. months before turning 14, and a whole new world opens up to him, both beautiful and tragic.

This autobiographical, inspiring coming-of-age love story (spoiler alert:  yes, he eventually finds true love) also deals with the miraculous things that can happen "out of the blue" when we're facing seemingly insurmountable odds. Eli, the main character, as an adult, receives a dire cancer diagnosis, which is the starting point of this tender, funny and highly entertaining musical.

The Universal themes in the show about self-love and self-acceptance, hope and resilience , touch audience members profoundly, prompting beautiful and heartfelt talkbacks after each performance  (our favorite part!)

The show - in which Eli plays 25 characters - received the prestigious Encore Producers' Award at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, 2022 , multiple nominations by Broadway World LA (with Eli winning Runner-Up for Best Solo Performance in Los Angeles) and has been rave-reviewed and well-loved by professional theatre critics and audience members alike.

We hope you and your organization will join us in this special presentation for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies (thank you!)—especially for gay youth coming to terms with who they are - to discover why this show wins the hearts of the audience every single time
